NAMI Johnson County Uses Facebook LIVE to Advocate for Minority Mental Health Month 2018
Thank You NAMI Johnson County for being a advocates for diversity, inclusion and equity in mental health in Kansas.
Congratulations on your first Facebook LIVE event.
People of color with mental illness are excluded and segregated from many aspects of community life and are still often subjected to increased stigma and discrimination.
Thank you for taking on the challenges of mental health conditions, health coverage and the stigma of mental illness requires all of us no matter our race, ethnicity, sex, gender, economic status or geographic location. In most communities in Kansas, these problems are increased by less access to care, cultural stigma and lower quality care.
Thank You NAMI Johnson County. You ROCK!
